Welcoming Mission Health to HCA Healthcare (Videos)

The last several months have been some of the most intense we’ve experienced in recent memory, leading up to less than two weeks ago when we made it official – Mission Health became a part of HCA Healthcare, Inc., on Feb. 1, 2019.

Now, the work continues as we get to know our new colleagues from HCA, begin to understand new systems and learn new ways of working together. Now as in the past, we will keep our focus where it has always been – improving the health of our friends and neighbors across western North Carolina.

“Together, we celebrate the good people of HCA.”

Celebrating our people on Friday, Feb. 15

As you know, we are inviting everyone to pause for a moment this Friday, Feb. 15, during your regular meal break to enjoy a special meal provided in celebration of our new relationship with HCA Healthcare. Those of you based at the hospital are invited to visit your cafeteria for a free BBQ meal (pork or vegan options available) – you’ll simply need to show your ID badge. If you’re based at a practice or a location not at one of the hospitals, your leader has information about how they can bring the celebration to you. Please check in with your leader to determine the specific plans for your team.

“Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.”

From the very beginning, we knew that HCA shared many of our values: compassion, caring, quality, community and an understanding that you – our team members and colleagues – bring the mission of our organizations to life. As we move forward as a division of HCA Healthcare, we are excited to learn more about their culture, care philosophies at the bedside and in the workplace.
