Road Work Ahead

Allow Extra Travel Time: Paving Work at Memorial Campus to Occur July 24-29

To prepare for the opening of the Mission Hospital North Tower, road work will be performed along the west side of the building from July 24 – 29, which includes portions of Victoria Rd., Livingston St., Anna Woodfin Dr. and Lily Carmichael Dr. During this time, team members are strongly encouraged to allow extra travel time to get through the construction, and to exercise patience and courtesy in work zones.

Refer to the planned schedule below.

Wednesday, July 24

  • Milling work will occur along portions of Victoria Rd. and Livingston St. The work is scheduled to take place from 10 am – 3 pm. Expect single lane closures with flagger controlled traffic. (Milling is the process of removing the top layer of existing asphalt to allow new asphalt to be laid down without increasing the height of the road.)

Thursday, July 25 – Friday, July 26

  • Crews will be installing traffic signal loops at the intersection of Livingston St. and Victoria Rd. from Thursday at 8 pm until Friday at 7 am. Expect single lane closures with flagger controlled traffic.

Saturday, July 27

  • Paving work will occur along Lily Carmichael Dr. from 8 am – 5 pm. Expect single lane closures with flagger controlled traffic. Vehicles will be able to enter the campus without issue, however exiting motorists will be directed through the McDowell parking deck and around the hospital toward Biltmore Ave.
  • Anna Woodfin Dr. will be closed to traffic from 7 am – 5 pm.
  • Minor traffic delays are expected, and pedestrians walking from Victoria Rd. or Hospital Dr. toward the main Memorial entrance will be diverted to Hospital Dr. and Biltmore Ave. toward the Owen Heart Tower entrance.

Team members are strongly encouraged to allow extra travel time to get through the construction, and to exercise patience and courtesy in work zones.

Monday, July 29

  • Paving work will occur at the intersection of Livingston St. and Victoria Rd. from 9 am – 4 pm. Expect single lane closures with flagger controlled traffic.
