You Asked, We Listened! – Additional Parking for Team Members Coming to Mission Hospital

In the midst of many changes at our hospital recently, we want you to know that we are listening to your comments and concerns. Based on what we have heard, we are pleased to announce that after much evaluation, beginning on January 21, 2020, we will be expanding access to the Biltmore Deck (Deck B) for team member parking. Please note, the top street level and levels 1A and 2B will remain designated parking for Owen Heart Tower and Labor and Delivery patients and upper and lower Level C and Level 1B will remain physician parking, but all other areas in the Biltmore Deck will be open for team member parking. While Level 1B in the Biltmore Deck will be open for physician parking, there will be 60 reserved valet parking spots with designated signage on Level 1B. Physicians will also now have access to the gated parking area next to the helipads.

Parking for team members at Mission Hospital will remain first come, first serve, now with this expanded capacity in the Biltmore Deck. Please be aware that Mission Health colleagues no longer have parking privileges at Granby 2 Lot since our lease for these lots has ended. Review Mission Hospital’s parking plan for a full list of current team member parking areas. No other team member parking areas will be impacted by this change.

Patient and Visitor Parking Policy

The McDowell Deck and the Emergency Department (ED) lot will continue to be used for patient and visitor parking only. To ensure our patients and visitors have access to the closest entrances, Parking Staff will monitor the McDowell Deck and the ED lot. Team members who park in the McDowell Deck or other patient or visitor areas will receive a warning ticket on their first offense. Team members with multiple offenses of parking in patient and visitor areas will receive a final warning, before receiving tickets with corrective action.

Additionally, we will also begin to have Parking Services staff stationed at both the McDowell Deck and the Biltmore Deck gates in the mornings to help monitor these parking areas and to help guide patients and visitors. During the day, you can expect to see Parking Services staff roaming the parking areas to ensure the areas are safe and well maintained.

To ensure you have appropriate access to team member parking areas, please make sure you have the most up to date information on your vehicles. If you need to update your vehicles information, please email the Parking Office at NCDV.Parking@HCAHealthcare. Be sure to make your subject line: your name – updated car information. In the body of your email, include your car’s make, model, year and color, your license plate number and what your role is at Mission Hospital.
