Looking for a Way to Help? Volunteer Needed for Veteran Tribute at Mission Hospital
Updated June 23, 2020
Thank you for your interest in this opportunity, team member! The volunteer role for maintaining the Veteran Tribute at Mission Hospital has now been filled.
Did you know there’s a way you can help Mission Hospital while also recognizing local veterans? If you’ve visited Mission Hospital’s main lobby over the years, you may have noticed the Veteran Tribute. This tribute was built by team members at Mission Hospital back in 1994 and has been filled with pictures and memorabilia of local veterans every year. Mission Hospital is currently looking for a team member to volunteer their time by maintaining the tribute once a year.
Discover the inception of the Veteran Tribute and read the story of the team members who maintain it here.
Looking for a way to help?
Back in April, our most recent team member who has maintained the Veteran Tribute retired from Mission Health and is now looking for a team member to pass the torch to. Interested team members can contact Lori Halula to learn more about the tribute and the process for maintaining it.
What you can expect
- The tribute is updated once a year around Veterans Day.
- The selected team member would change out the photos and medals and work with local vendors to maintain the tribute.
- 8 veterans are chosen each year to display their stories in the tribute. The veterans cannot be active duty.
- There is no cost to the team member who maintains the tribute.
