American Red Cross to Be New Provider for Resuscitation Skills Program

We are pleased to introduce the American Red Cross Resuscitation Suite, a comprehensive program for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). These online Healthstream courses, along with skills testing on performance feedback manikins will be available beginning March 31, 2021.  American Red Cross (ARC) will replace American Heart Association (AHA) certificate programs at Mission Health.

What:  The American Red Cross Resuscitation Suite is a multi-part program that includes an online course, skills testing on a performance feedback manikin, and integrated digital credentials (ecards).  More information about the training program can be found here [1].

Who:  We have partnered with HealthStream to implement the American Red Cross Resuscitation Suite within the North Carolina Division. HealthStream is a leading provider of workforce development solutions for the healthcare industry to deliver outcomes-based results for healthcare organizations. Together, we are committed to successfully implementing this program.

When: Beginning March 31, 2021, the American Red Cross program will be available to all staff across the NC Division who need to renew resuscitation credentials.

How:  ARC modules will be assigned to your Healthstream account 60 days before your current expiration date. If you are approaching expiration and the module isn’t assigned, please reach out to your educator/manager.

Where: The class, module, portion will be completed via HealthStream. The hands on skills portion will be completed in an ARC simulation lab at a Mission Health facility, a complete list of locations can be found on ARC on MOD.
