HCA Healthcare Alignment

NCDV will be implementing changes to bring our people-related systems, processes and programs into closer alignment with those used by the rest of HCA Healthcare. Look here for the information you need to know about changes.

We’re doing this in order to simplify our work-life, to be more consistent across colleague groups, and to implement the benefits negotiated for our represented colleagues, while continuing important local practices like our Mission Health PTO plan.

Getting Help – Post HCA Healthcare Transition Help Guide

Update for 1/17/22

Kronos Mobile Users – Remember to check the department when clocking in. Users of the UKG Workforce Central (Kronos) mobile app should check the “Recent” line in the app before clicking “Punch”

  • Any text on the “Recent” line shows the department to which time will be charged. If it isn’t your regular department, they will transfer to that department for the shift.
  • If you didn’t intend to transfer, simply use the eraser to clear the text before punching.  If you are transferring, check to ensure the department number is correct before punching.

If you have questions about department mapping, refer to the business structure information HERE.

Update for 12/13/21

We know there were challenges as we transition this year, but over 98% of the Mission Health team successfully registered for 2022 benefits – way to go!

As part of the transition to Global HR, a system downtime window will begin at 4:00 pm today, December 13 until Monday, December 20. During this time, colleagues will not be able to perform self-service actions in the current system. These include changes to their W-4, direct deposit, address, license, education and certification(s). If you have any questions, please reach out to HR Direct Connect at (828) 213-5600 or submit an AskHR ticket through Lawson employee self-service.

Kronos User Emails – Over 80% of required employees are already using the new Kronos clocking methods – hooray! Hourly employees and Kronos time editors received emails on December 8 with important information and actions – please review them.  You will also receive reminders via email on December 15. Remember: Phone clocking ends overnight on December 18-19!

Update for 10/12/21

Please remind your teams to verify their home address in the Mission Employee Self-Service system to ensure you get upcoming benefits information mailed to your home. Managers/Directors/Executives – make sure you’ve scheduled your Facility Scheduler training in HealthStream. You should see them in your HealthStream account.

Between now and year-end, NCDV will be implementing changes to bring our people-related systems, processes and programs into closer alignment with those used by the rest of HCA Healthcare including benefits, payroll and more.

Update for 9/12/21

We’re providing this information up front so that you can see the upcoming changes not as individual pieces to be managed, but as moving us closer together and making it easier to function as one team. You’ll be receiving a lot of information over the next three months about changes in these areas:

  • Timekeeping:  The “land-line” phone system is being retired, and we are moving to the Kronos mobile app – which many people already use to request time off and track PTO accrual.
  • Scheduling: We are implementing the HCA Healthcare Employee Facility Scheduling system to align with other HCA Healthcare divisions.
  • Payroll: Our payroll is provided by HCA Healthcare’s Parallon Business Group, but almost all colleagues will remain on bi-weekly pay dates, and you’ll have new direct deposit options.
  • Benefits: We’re already using some of the programs offered by HCA Healthcare, including the Nurse Line and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).  We will be aligning other benefits offerings and vendors, including 401K (for contributions made after January 1), with the rest of HCA Healthcare, and implementing the benefits that were recently negotiated for represented colleagues. Also, for most of our hospital team, PTO accruals will not be changing.

These changes will have different impacts based on your plan choices and how you use them, but there are clear positives.  There’s no surcharge for spouses.  There’s a $650 discount for being nicotine-free.  The Mission Health Partners provider network is still available, but we’ll also have expanded provider options through Aetna. You’ll learn much more before enrolling this fall.

Please review the attached overview about benefits enrollment and timeline.

  • New HR system: We will implement the HR data system known as “Global HR,” which comes from the same vendor that provides our HR system today.  Training, extensive just-in-time videos, and job aids will be available.  We’ll also have access to HCAhrAnswers support 24/7, from anywhere, on the phone or the web, to help with all types of HR transactions.

What’s Next?

As soon as possible, you should make sure your home address is correct in the Mission Employee Self-Service system to ensure you get important benefits information mailed to your home.
